We are pleased to announce that applications are now open
for the upcoming Cycle Right Trainer Course.
Cycle Right is the national
standard for cycling safety and is currently being funded for Stage One
training in primary schools. Our funding is provided by the Department of
Transport and the Road Safety Authority. It is a growing programme and last
year our trainers delivered funded training to over 40,000
participants.
The syllabus of Stage One
training in primary schools includes road theory, bike checks, and bike
handling skills. These aspects are built on so participants can make safe road
manoeuvres, practiced first in the yard, and eventually an on-road journey
guided by qualified trainers.
The programme aims to equip
participants with knowledge on bike and road safety, as well as developing
confidence and competence in making cycling journeys on the road.
If you are interested in becoming
